In the past 20 days, I have come to realise something. Covid isn’t scary if it’s not a serious infection. Day by day the symptoms gradually rescinded and about a week in the disease they just vanished into the thin air. Covid doesn’t scare you now, the stigma attached to it does. The anxiety which comes in free with the test report is off the charts. What if I infect others?, What if I do not recover and die? These are some basic questions that your anxiety makes you ask yourself and as it came with the test report the anxiety quickly settles once the symptoms die down.
I realised something else as well in these tough times, no matter how strong you build yourself up, there would be people to pull you down and bury you in the dirt beneath their feet. I guess it’s human nature to be scared for your own health when something like this happens, but a select few stoop down so low that they only leave you with your last resort i.e file an F.I.R.
My family and I found battling my covid infection to be much easier than dealing with those buttheads. Dealing with covid is easy. Just take your medicines on time, use a humidifier, do something productive, have a positive frame of mind and most importantly pin those buttheads to ground.
Initially even i was scared i tested covid positive but when you have positive thinking people around you everything gets easy. A positive mindset does huge wonders to fight this disease. If you panic it will only worsen but if you stay positive, think positive you will come out of it with flying colours. Soon into your isolation you will realise battling covid is not hard if you do the things doctors asked you. It’s easy to let yourself down when the going gets tough but as they say when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. My father very rightfully said “Covid has made us appreciate the family efforts better which in the earlier years was missing”. If you see it positively, covid brought families together, covid gave us the much needed family time. Had it not been for my family keeping me positive and happy this article would have been totally different. In a nutshell, stay safe, stay positive.
